Me? I'm just an average guy originally from Connecticut who went to Colgate University.
I'm a big fan of good food, good wine, good music, and good friends. I love to laugh, I get a lot of joy out of the little things in life, and I try not to bother worrying about those things that are out of my control. Really random things can make me happy, like going furniture shopping with a friend and helping them find the perfect couch or cooking a meal for someone and it turning out well.
I love getting to know people, which is a big part of my job, so I'm really happy with that. I also love college campuses... those are always the places that I've been happiest, and I'm so happy to have started a career where I can work and live on a campus and even happier that I get to stay at Colgate this year. I love the atmosphere here, where there are always new people to meet and old people that I'm comfortable with, always something going on that's interesting, and so much opportunity to start new things and improve what's already there.
My background is 75% German, 25% Lebanese, both sides of which I really like. I love that the Lebanese part of me let's me sit out in the sun for hours and not get really burned, just well-tanned. I love that I can eat hummus and babba ghanoush every day without ever getting tired of it, and that every so often when I go to my grandmother's house for Thanksgiving and the Lebanese relatives show up, I can expect both dishes better than I've had in a long time. I love that the German side gave me great blue eyes and an appreciation for really good beer. I love that there is a huge extended family on that side all over the world now, from Brazil to Australia to Germany itself. I definitely want to get better acquainted with both sides, and one day would love to travel to both areas.
This isn't it by a longshot, just some things that I thought of now. I'm sure you'll find out more about me through the journal entries or just by chatting. :)
